Belonging:
Children should experience belonging - knowing where and with whom they belong. In early childhood, and throughout life, relationships are crucial to a sense of belonging.

Being:
Childhood is a chance to be, seek and make meaning of the world. Being recognises the significance of the here and now in children's lives. It is about children learning about themselves, building and maintaining relationships with others, engaging in life's joy and complexities and meeting challenges in everyday life.

Becoming:
AS children gain knowledge and understanding of themselves and the world, develop skills and relationships they become ready for the challenges of the adult world. Children are shaped by many different events and circumstances. Becoming reflects this process of change that occurs during this time as young children learn and grow.
